Noah Allison leads the charge in Apaches sweep of Ottawa JV
DOUGLAS, Ariz.--- Cochise was looking to reach double-digit wins in a row as they hosted Ottawa University JV for a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon.
Thursday, March 27th (Game 1, 5 innings): Cochise 13, Ottawa 3
Already down 3-0 in the 2nd, the Apaches were able to tie things up with back-to-back RBI singles from Francisco Laya and Sawyer Fech. The following inning, Noah Allison went deep for a 2-run home run, stretching the lead to 6-3. Allison later capped off his day with an RBI single and his 3rd hit of the game. Cochise was able to walk things off via the 10-run rule after two runs scored on an error in the 5th. Alejandro Vanegas pitched all five innings, allowing three earned runs and sitting down five.
Thursday, March 27th (Game 2, 7 innings): Cochise 5, Ottawa 0
Allison got the scoring started in the 1st inning with a sacrifice-fly, and Fech later scored off an error to put Cochise up 2-0. Sam Pitts got the start for the Apaches pitching 4 innings, no earned runs, and striking out two batters. In the bottom of the 4th, a bases-loaded walk of Laya, brought home T.J Shaw for the third run of the game. A 5th inning double from Fech plated two more runs, giving the Apaches a 5-run lead. Daniel Gomez closed out the final three innings, surrendering no runs and striking out five.

Getting hot at the right time of the season, Cochise Baseball (34-8, 17-7) remains at home as they host Arizona Christian University JV on March 29th for a doubleheader, starting at 12:00 p.m. at Bo Hall Field in Douglas, Arizona.
