
Cochise starts year blasting past Glendale CC 82-55
GLENDALE, Ariz. — After a two-week semester layoff, the Cochise College Apaches Men's Basketball team went on the road to take on a very hot Glendale Community College club that was riding a four-game-win streak with an afternoon game in Glendale.
Cochise jumped out to a 41-33 halftime lead and held the Gauchos to 22 second-half points to rout the home-standing Gauchos 82-55. Cochise had four double-digit players and was led by freshman Naeem Colston, who tallied 18 points off the bench. Freshman Jackson Tumbridge added 16 points off the bench with 5 3pt. FG made. Sophomore forward MJ Clegg continued his solid play with 16 points while Freshman guard Jhace Johnson chipped in 10 in the victory.
Cochise moves to 10-5 overall on the season and is 2-1 in NJCAA Region I play.
