Cochise Women's Soccer to send four student-athletes to the next level

DOUGLAS, Ariz. -- The Cochise Women's Soccer team is sending four Lady Apaches on to the next level in 2023, and is expecting more signings by the end of the Spring season. Daniela Gomez, Megan Castricum, Kayla Reynaud, and Brynn Lumpkin have all signed their National Letter of Intent to play at four-year NAIA schools next year.

 

Daniela Gomez (DB), Multnomah University

Gomez comes from Cali, Columbia, and completed her Sophomore season at Cochise starting all 14 games and scoring 4 goals off of 13 shots with 1 assist. Gomez will head to Multnomah University, an NAIA school in Portland, Oregon at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.

 

Megan Castricum (F), Multnomah University

The Sophomore Forward from Castricum, Netherlands signed with Multnomah University and will join her teammate in Portland next season. Castricum finished the season with 8 goals and 3 assists and placed 10th overall in the nation in game-winning goals with 5. 

 

Brynn Lumpkin (D), Shaw University

Lumpkin is from Bisbee, Arizona, and finished her Sophomore season as a defensive specialist, and was a major contributor to Cochise's 7 shoutout wins during the 2022 season. Lumpkin will head to Shaw University, an NAIA school from Raleigh, North Carolina.

 

Kayla Reynaud (C), University of the Southwest

Reynaud, a Las Cruces, New Mexico native, will head back to her home state as she signed with the University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico. Reynaud scored 6 goals during the 2022 season, along with 2 assists and 1 game-winning goal.
