Castricum and Renteria awarded ACCAC Player of the Week honors
DOUGLAS, Ariz. -- Two Cochise Women's Soccer athletes were awarded ACCAC Players of the Week last week for their performances on the field. Conference athlete Players of the Week are voted on by ACCAC head coaches on a weekly basis.
Castricum was voted as ACCAC Div. I Offensive Player of the Week by head coaches for her two game-winning goals against Chandler-Gilbert Community College on October 4th and again against Mesa on October 8th. Castricum is currently 3rd in the nation in Game Winning Goals with a total of 5.
Renteria was voted as ACCAC Goalkeeper of the Week for leading the Lady Apaches with two shut-out wins against Chandler-Gilbert Community College (1-0) on October 4th and against Mesa (1-0) on October 8th. Renteria is currently in the Top-10 in the country with a .864 save percentage as a Goalkeeper.
