Cochise WBB end sophomore week 1-1

February 13-19 was a busy week for the Cochise College women's basketball team. On Wednesday, they faced a tough Eastern Arizona College team. The battle ended with EAC winning in dominating fashion, defeating the Apaches 75 to 42. The Apaches shot a season-low 16.7% from the field. Freshman Jess Lawson led the Apaches with 17 points.

Saturday, Feb. 19, was the last home game of the season, and we recognized the sophomores on the team: Aja Phoumiphat, Corina Suarez Tudela, Tatjana Tatar and Ajda Licina. The team sent the sophomores out with a victory over Pima Community College. The final score was 67 to 55.
Three Apaches finished in double digits. Freshman Jess Lawson led all scorers with 19 points. Freshman Deyana Bogan scored 10 points, and sophomore Corina Suarez Tudela scored 16 points. Lawson and Bogan both secured ten rebounds, giving them a double-double.

The Apaches are waiting to hear if they will be playing the two postponed games against South Mountain Community College.
