Cochise blasts South Mountain CC 96-65 to finish undefeated at home in regular season

DOUGLAS, Ariz. The Cochise College Apaches celebrated Sophomore night in the Stronghold Gymnasium with a bang last night as they routed the visiting Cougars of South Mountain CC 96-65 in their final regular season home game.

Cochise came out and jumped on the Cougars and led 47-30 at halftime. Cochise led 65-48 with 10 minutes to go in the game and the rout was on. Sophomore, Tyreese Watson led Cochise with a game-high 27 points and in doing so surpassed the 1000-point total in his 2-year Cochise College career. Sophomore, Oscar Cluff again contributed a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Freshman, Jalen Barbee chipped in 14 points in the win.

Cochise has now won 25 straight games, trailing only the College of Southern Idaho for the nation's longest winning streak. Cochise is currently ranked #12 in the nation in the latest NJCAA DI National poll, and #9 in the JucoAdovate Media Poll. 

Cochise is now 27-2 overall and 21-0 in ACCAC play.
