Cochise routs Glendale C.C. 111-92 to end 4-game road trip

Glendale, AZThe Cochise College Apaches used a balanced scoring attack to outscore a very hot shooting Glendale Gaucho squad on the Gaucho's home floor yesterday afternoon. In doing so the Apaches now won 20 straight ACCAC conference road games dating back to Feb. of 2021 in the COVID season. Cochise led 50-41 at halftime and shared the ball very well in the second half to tally 61 second-half points. Cochise was led in scoring by Sophomore, Tyreese Watson who had a game-high 36 points in the win.  Freshman, Tracy Godfrey Jr. added 24 points and dominated the paint. Sophomore, Oscar Cluff added 19 points and 9 rebounds. Cochise moves to 19-2 overall and 13-0 in ACCAC play.

"Offensively we were really good today; we sprinted the floor well in transition and moved the ball very well to get open shots. The Guys looked to really trust each other with ball movement. Godfrey Jr. was dominant in creating driving lanes for his teammates, it was great to see."

Cochise is back at home to host Eastern Arizona College on Wednesday, Feb. 1st in an ACCAC battle.  Cochise will look to tie the School Record for consecutive wins on Wednesday as they shoot for #18 in a row. The 2011-12 ACCAC Champions Apaches won 18 straight that year.   Tip-off on Wednesday is set for 5:30 pm in the Stronghold gymnasium.
