Cochise jumps on South Mountain early and cruises to 98-64 road win
PHOENIX, Ariz.—For the second consecutive year, the Cochise College Apaches went thru the first round of round-robin ACCAC play undefeated, routing South Mountain CC 98-64 on the Cougar's home floor.
Cochise jumped out to a very decisive 53-25 halftime lead and never looked back.
Cochise was led by Sophomore, Oscar Cluff who dominated the paint with a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore, Tyreese Watson added 25 points in the win.
Cochise is currently riding a 15-game win streak and is now 11-0 in ACCAC play and 17-2 overall.

"Our guys really showed great competitive maturity to come out and jump on South Mountain they we way did right from the opening Tip-off. Our guys had a very good practice on Friday and took it to South Mountain right away."

The Apaches are back in action on Wednesday, January 25th as they travel to Yuma to take on rival Arizona Western College in the "House" for a 5:30 pm tip-off. Wednesday's re-match of the 2022 NJCAA Region I championship game; will be televised on ESPN+ as it is the NJCAA Game of the Week.
