Rodgers named NJCAA All-American team

Cochise College freshman guard Jay Rodgers earned All-American Region I honors, announced by the NJCAA.

Rodgers also earned First Team All Arizona Community College Athletic Conference honors and All NJCAA Region I honorable mention All-American.

A transfer from the University of New Orleans, Rodgers helped lead the Apaches to a 29-4 record overall and their fourth straight ACCAC and their second consecutive NJCAA Region I championship.

"This marks the eighth consecutive season that a Cochise College men's basketball player was named NJCAA All American, dating back to the 2014-15 season," said head coach Jerry Carrillo.
