Cochise MBB bounces back to defeat Glendale CC 78-67

The Cochise College men's basketball held off a scrappy Glendale CC Gaucho squad winning 78-67 in the Stronghold Gymnasium.
Cochise led 40-34 at the half and led for the entire contest. A timely three-point field goal by guard Jay Rodgers in the last few minutes of the contest sealed the victory for the Apaches. Rodgers led Cochise with 21 points on the night. Jalun Trent had another solid floor game with 14 points and eight assists.

Freshmen Tyreese Watson and Oscar Cluff added 14 and 10, respectively.

Cochise moves to 22-3 overall and 13-2 in ACCAC play.

"It was a really good game as Glendale gave us all that we could handle and more," said Cochise Head Coach Jerry Carrillo. "I really liked our team's confidence and trust in each other down the stretch while dealing with some adversity."
