Men's basketball extends win streak to 10 games with 86-76 win over Eastern Arizona College

The Cochise College men's basketball held off a late second-half charge to win their tenth consecutive game on the road versus the Eastern Arizona College Gila Monsters.

The Apaches were able to lead for basically all 40 minutes of the contest. Cochise led by 36-24 at the intermission and pushed the lead to 21 points midway through the second half.

Cochise was led by freshman big man Oscar Cluff who tallied yet another double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds on the night.

Jay Rodgers and Stephen "Tank" Byard added timely buckets down the stretch to seal the victory.

Cochise is now 18-1 overall and 9-0 in ACCAC play.

"We were able to do share the ball well offensively tonight and led from start to finish," said Cochise Head Coach Jerry Carrillo. Winning on the road in Thatcher is always tough. We really need to "lock in "these next to practices and be ready for very, very good Pima team."

Freshman Forward Stephen "Tank" Byard added, "As a team, we are working hard on moving the ball and trusting each other on both ends of the floor."
