Meurant selected with First Team All-Conference and All-Region honors

DOUGLAS, Ariz. --- Cochise Baseball's outgoing sophomore infielder Mathis Meurant was selected with postseason All-Conference and All-Region honors yesterday by the conference head coaches. Meurant was awarded First Team All-ACCAC and First Team All-NJCAA Region 1. This season, the Meurant started in each of the Apache's 55 games collecting 73 hits in 195 at-bats, and finished in the top ten in the conference with a batting average of .374. Meurant hit five home runs this season and finished fourth in the ACCAC in RBIs with 49. Defensively, the shortstop had a fielding percentage of .957 with 112 putouts and turning 27 double plays.

In the Fall of 2024, Meurant will make the move to Tucson, AZ, and will play baseball at the NCAA DI level with the University of Arizona.
