Bio

After a two-year stint with the Saints of Presentation College, Ricky Escalera comes to the Cochise College soccer program. Escalera helped the women's program at Presentation come to their best-ever finish in the GPAC, with the most goals and points since joining the GPAC.

Prior to the Presentation, Escalera had an impressive run with Slammers FC of the boy's ECNL. He helped coach the Slammers to make the Elite 8 national finals.

Before the Slammers FC, Coach Escalera assisted with the John F. Kennedy High School Varsity boys program. There he helped the boy's soccer program make back-to-back CIF appearances. He also became the head coach for the boy's JV team.

Escalera spent his first two academic years at Golden West College, Huntington Beach, CA. He helped the Rustlers make their first playoff run in four years. Escalera graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Sports Studies from Ottawa University, Kansas. He was a two-year member of the Ottawa University Men's soccer team, the Braves. He also helped the Braves make two consecutive KCAC playoff runs.

Coach Escalera currently holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "D" license and is a native of Buena Park, CA.
