Cochise Baseball clinches NJCAA Region 1 Playoff berth with wins at Yavapai

PRESCOTT, Ariz. --- For the first time since the 2022 season, the Cochise Baseball team will find themselves playing in the postseason. The Apaches officially clinched a spot in the NJCAA Region 1 Playoffs with a win Friday afternoon on the road against Yavapai College. With a doubleheader split on Saturday, along with a loss from Central Arizona, Cochise finds themselves sitting in the #2 spot for the Region Tournament beginning next Thursday.

The Apaches are scheduled to host the #3 seed Central Arizona College for a best-of-three semifinal series with Game 1 on Thursday, May 1st at 2:00 pm at Bo Hall Field in Douglas.
